Duong River WTP
Duong river surface water plant is built on an area of nearly 61.5 hectares, with a total investment of about VND 4,998 billion, located in Phu Dong and Trung Mau communes (Gia Lam district).
According to the master plan on water supply in Hanoi Capital to 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved in the Prime Minister's Decision No. 499/QD-TTg dated March 21, 2013 and Investment Policy Decision No. 2869/QD-UBND of Hanoi People's Committee dated June 3, 2016; When the project is completed, it will provide clean water to the following areas:
Northeast of Hanoi city (including Long Bien district (14 wards), Gia Lam district (22 communes), Dong Anh district (20 communes), Soc Son district (26 communes)
Urban and industrial areas on Road 179); the southern area of Hanoi city (including districts including Hoang Mai district (14 wards), Thanh Tri district (15 communes), Thuong Tin district (29 communes) and Phu Xuyen district (28 communes)
Neighboring areas such as Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, etc.

By 2020, the capacity will reach 300,000 m3 / day and night,
Investment period:

Term 1A to 2018, operating with a capacity of 150,000 m3/day and night

Phase 1B to 2020, operating with a capacity of 300,000 m3/day and night.
Scale of water supply

By 2030, it will reach 600,000 m3 / day and night, with a vision to 2050 it will reach 900,000 m3 / day and night.
Socially

When the project is completed, it will directly affect about 2.5 million people in the capital on a large scale, 960 km2 distributed across 08 districts such as Soc Son, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, Phu Xuyen, the project will contribute to opening a new direction in diversifying economic sectors in clean water production and trading; create jobs for a large number of workers; promote the development of people's living standards.
